Our Mission

At the heart of every person is a desire to know and to be known. We believe a truly human education addresses our deepest longings—to pursue knowledge, to grow in wisdom and virtue, and to have meaningful friendships. Valor Education exists to educate the whole person in authentic communities for a full human life. Through our classical schools and the Valor Institute, we build communities dedicated to wisdom, virtue, and friendship.

Valor Classical Schools

Valor’s five tuition-free K-12 classical charter schools offer students a full human education rooted in the classical liberal arts tradition, from the Great Books to fine arts to advanced math and science. Our schools are open enrollment and our students achieve outstanding academic results without admissions requirements. Through Socratic teaching and a school culture filled with joy, respect, and deep engagement, Valor classical schools are forming students in wisdom and virtue so they can become fully alive and truly free.

Valor Institute

The Valor Institute for Studies in Person and Community exists to promote a capacious vision of the human person flourishing in community. Our work is a creative response to the defining crises of our time — spiritual and intellectual pathologies rooted in impoverished and reductive understandings of what it means to be human, of what constitutes authentic community, and of our proper relationship to the created world.
