K-12 Curriculum
Valor’s classical curriculum includes a robust course of study in both the humanities and the sciences. Our program devotes ample time to reading and discussion of classic literature, history, and philosophy. Students also take a range of advanced math and science courses, while studying classical languages, exploring the fine arts, and participating in physical education and experiential learning programs. Our teachers employ Socratic, inquiry-based instruction as the primary mode while also incorporating presentation, coaching, and hands-on learning. In addition, Valor draws upon the best methods of educational assessment in order to track student performance, inform instruction, and guide academic interventions, ensuring students are supported at each stage in their educational journey.
“Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.”
– C.S. Lewis
