Ward Huseth
Chief Growth and Development Officer, Valor Education
Ward Huseth is the Chief Growth and Development Officer of Valor Education.
Mr. Huseth has decades of experience leading organizations through rapid growth, typically in geographically dispersed, multi-site entities. His key areas of expertise include developing and executing strategy, raising capital for expansion, financial planning, culture development, as well as scaling for growth.
Prior to joining Valor, Mr. Huseth was the COO of a managed technology service provider for schools in Arizona and Texas. Previously he worked for National Education Partners which collaborates with universities to provide comprehensive support services. Prior to that, Mr. Huseth served as the CFO and interim CEO for Great Hearts, helping the organization raise over $10 million in donor investments, source over $236 million of credit facilities, and grow from 12 schools in one metroplex to 28 schools in three cities. Mr. Huseth was also previously the CFO and an Investment Partner at the Charter School Growth Fund.
Prior to CSGF, Mr. Huseth was a Vice President and CFO for a division of Knowledge Universe Education that had over 1,500 operating locations nationwide; KUE was a $1.6 billion provider of early childhood educational services and before and after-school programs operating under the KinderCare and Champions brands. He also was the Chief Accounting Officer for eCollege, the first a publicly held SAAS provider for higher education online programs, after starting his career with international accounting firm Deloitte. Mr. Huseth received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and obtained a CPA license (inactive) from the state of Colorado.
