Valor Education Breaks Ground for Valor Leander’s New Permanent Campus
The Classical Charter School to Welcome Many More Families in the 2025-26 School Year
LEANDER, TEXAS (October 24, 2024) — Valor Leander, one of Valor Education’s five K-12 tuition-free classical schools in central Texas, has broken ground to begin construction for its new permanent campus on 14 acres of land near the intersection of Ronald Reagan Blvd. and Highway 29 on Kauffman Loop. This marks a significant milestone in Valor’s mission to invite students of all backgrounds to live the fullest life possible, one directed by wisdom, animated by wonder, and anchored in friendship.
Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, Valor Leander’s new facility will span 25,000 square feet and serve approximately 375 students in grades 3-10. Meanwhile, the approximately 375 students in grades K-2 will continue to be served at its current campus on Crystal Falls Pkwy until the new campus is further developed. The first phase will provide beautiful academic spaces, spacious outdoor areas, and a full-size football field. Future phases will add even more space to reunite the school’s entire K-12 community and add more student seat capacity as well as athletic and extracurricular spaces.
“The support and enthusiasm we’ve seen from families and the community have been incredible. We can’t wait to see the new home for our strong school community take shape as we begin this construction phase,” said Valor Leander’s Headmaster, Christopher Ochoa. “Together, we are growing something truly special. We look forward to welcoming many more families as we cultivate a nurturing environment for generations to come.”
Valor financed 100% of the Phase One project through a successful $20 million public bond offering in September. Valor Leander school leadership is committed to maintaining regular and ongoing communication with the local community. The school plans to share updates on the construction progress and details on how the new facility will enhance the educational experience for all students.
