University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
A representative from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be on campus at lunchtime to visit with high school students. Information will be shared with students during morning announcements.

Our seniors have been working on their Capstone Presentations, which culminate their entire Valor education in a unique way. They will present their findings on a piece of literature and then participate in a panel with their Capstone director, Capstone advisor, and a reader.
All presentations are held in the VNA library Tuesday through Thursday at 4:15 and 5:15 PM and are open to all interested audiences. Due to the nature of several of the works of literature, this is recommended for those in 4th grade and older. No RSVP is necessary. Come join us! Details will be sent via parent communications.

We will celebrate our 5th Grade Scholars on the morning of Thursday, May 21 as they reflect on their Lower School years and prepare to enter our Upper School! Parents and grandparents are encouraged to join us for the promotion ceremony.

Senior Walk
We will celebrate graduating seniors on the morning of Friday, May 22 as they are lead through the school by our mascot, Aslan. All students will line the halls and cheer them on as they parade through the entire school.

Student Holiday
There will be no classes on Monday, May 25 in honor of Memorial Day. Normal class schedules resume for Lower School students on Tuesday, May 26. Upper School students return on Tuesday, May 26, but have a modified schedule for Final Exams. Enjoy the long weekend!

Valor North Austin Upper School students will have Final Exams and Early Release on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 26-27. Lunch will not be served to Upper School students on these days, so pack two hearty snacks.

Kinder Kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28 (9-11 AM) and August 3 (5-7 PM). Parents and their incoming kindergarten student are strongly encouraged to attend one of the kickoff events. You will have an opportunity to meet the teaching staff, hear from Headmaster Hill, pick up the Class of 2039 t-shirt, and meet other kindergarten families.

Oil Painting Art Gallery
High School students in the Oil Painting Elective will have an art gallery on display in the Art Room (accessible from the Shire) with their oil paintings that they have worked on this year. Details will be sent to families about an option to visit after school.

Senior Pathways Day | Iter Novum: A New Journey
Our seniors will have the opportunity to wear a shirt representing their next path after graduation, whether that’s college, trade school, or something else. We are excited to share what the next step of their journey will be!

Stop the Bleed Safety Training
Students in grades 9-12 may sign up to attend a free training after school to learn first aid and safety techniques in the event of an emergency. This training is optional but is offered as part of our ongoing efforts to provide health services training to students.

High School Shadow Day
We will be hosting prospective high school students for the upcoming school year on Monday, April 27. Our Student Life Team will help our student visitors navigate through class schedules, lunches, and learning more about Valor along with our faculty and staff.

Baylor University Campus Visit - 10th Grade
Our 10th Grade Students have the opportunity to visit the Baylor University campus in Waco, tour the campus, have lunch, and ask questions with university staff. Transportation will be provided. Details will be sent to families via email communication.
Rice University Visit
Rice University will be visiting our campus on Tuesday, April 21 during Upper School lunchtime so that students have an opportunity to learn more about this Texas university. Details will be announced to students during morning announcements.

Talent Show Rehearsal
Valor North Austin proudly presents our first ever Talent Show! Students in all grades have been working to share their unique talents and abilities on the VNA Gymnasium stage for your enjoyment! This is their only rehearsal time to practice with microphones, timing, entering and exiting stage, etc. Participants are required to attend this rehearsal before the Talent Show on April 10.
